In John 10:10, Jesus said ”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
The Lord is speaking about the enemy of our life, Satan, the adversary.
There is not a neutral place to be. Or we are protected in Christ, or we are exposed to the destruction of the enemy.
Often, the enemy stays quiet for a while because he wants to make you believe that he is not around. Like a thief, he waits for the moment when you are vulnerable, then he attacks.
The enemy lures you with something that appears to be desirable and when you sin, he steals your peace, he makes you feel dirty, lonely and unsafe.
But you do not have to stay like this. Start to pray, call for Jesus, cry to the Lord.
God says through Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
God does not abandon who call Him sincerely. He will come in your rescue. Believe, try and you will see.
